This unique piece is designed to keep you warm and comfortable. Each item is handcrafted on a traditional loom by skilled artisans, ensuring that no two pieces are alike. The intricate nature of each blanket reflects the time and dedication involved, with one person spending a full month to create a single blanket.
We produce a limited number of blankets and throws each year, making them truly special.
Please handle your piece with care and love, as it embodies the craftsmanship and effort that goes into its creation.
Warm regards. Nilo Cashmere
Cashmere Care
Cashmere, wool, yak, and camel are known as luxurious fibers, and it is natural for them to pill.
Pilling occurs when short or broken fibres tangle together into tiny balls, known as pills. These can form with day-to-day wear.
Removing these pill balls is easy. You can pick them off by hand, use a cashmere comb, or a wool shaver or remover, which you can easily find in the market.
Cashmere is a breathable and insulating fiber, so you can only dry clean it or hand wash it after a couple of wears.
When washing your cashmere, wool, yak, or camel products, hand-washing is one of the simplest and most environmentally friendly methods. Alternatively, we also recommend dry cleaning. For hand-washing, here is what we suggest:
Fill a bucket with lukewarm water and add a small amount of gentle wool detergent liquid.
Gently swirl your cashmere product for 1 minute, then let it soak for 5 minutes.
Press the product gently to remove excess water, being careful not to twist or stretch the fabric.
Lay the products flat or hang them on a line in the shade to dry, or air dry it overnight by hanging the garment on a hanger.
Use a steamer or iron to remove wrinkles caused by washing and drying.
Finally, fold your luxurious products and store them with lavender or cedar to keep them fresh and protected from moths.
